Sortie - Tools?

  • Our tools include natural elements like the forests, waterfalls, mountains, rivers, stars, stones, trees and the human mind complimented by well designed and scientifically proven exercises. With an innovative mix of activities revolving around the central theme of learning from nature our programs subtly teach the children or should we say young adults how to cope up with stress, fear, anxiety and other ailments becoming common in this highly competitive world.
  • The programs teach them how to value and respect other people's opinions and build their relationships with others on the basis of close mutual understanding. The children are encouraged to remove all barriers, which hold them back from acknowledging the learning procedure. They are told the importance of communicating effectively (both speaking and listening), planning, developing trust and group identity, visualisation and creative thinking. All this through our structured planning of activities on the daily program schedule.
  • We use interactive activities and games to bring about a change in children's attitudes. Games that teach children the importance of planning, listening, co-ordination and co-operation. Adventure activities, a standard part of our programs (which differ as per destination) teach children the skills of composure and ways to effectively manage crisis, cope up with stress and have a positive outlook towards life. These activities carried out in a controlled and simulated natural environment sometimes demand split second decisions from the participants.
  • Team projects involving activities with results that must be and can only be achieved by close co-operation between the participants boost the spirit of teamwork amongst them. Though conducted most informally, these activities have a subtle but visible result on the minds of the participants.
  • In the end, the participants draw out a broad measure as to what they think they have achieved. Self-realisation we believe reduces the teaching time for what we want our young adults to achieve.
