Camp RapidFire Location and Route

Camp RapidFire is a white water river rafting and holiday camp located 35 kms from Rishikesh and 60 km from Haridwar at village Singthali. It is only 19 km from Shivpuri which is rightfully called the mecca of white water rafting in India.

By Road - The route to Camp RapidFire is as follows……
Delhi – Ghaziabad - Merrut (Bypass) - Khatauli - Muzaffarnagar (Bypass) – Purkaji - Roorki - Haridwar - Rishikesh – (16 Kms) Shivpuri (Here is the first bridge on the river) – (this is the second bridge you cross) - Byasi (a small market area with row of dhabas & provisions shops on both sides of the road) - (Drive for 3 KMs from Byasi, you can actually follow your odometer from here, and on the your left, just when your meter shows that you are close to the end of 3 Kms, you will see two shops together one a STD PCO and another a small provisions shop, if you are attentive enough you will also see a Camp RapidFire board somewhere on your right as you arrive the Singthali Village) – Singthali Village, Camp RapidFire.

Although the Camp RapidFire is only about 260 KM froms Delhi, it can often take 7 to 8 eight hours on the road. This can be mostly due to traffic conditions. Driving early morning is almost the best way to avoid a lot of slow traffic. People often manage a drive time of 5 to 6 hours when driving to the camp early mornings or nights.

Travelling by trains is a comfortable option and you should definitely consider it for a comfortable journey. You can take a train up to the Haridwar railway station and thereafter another 90 mins of drive brings you to Camp RapdiFire. A Taxi stand outside the railway station has fixed price taxis for almost every place in the hills and while booking a taxi, book to Village Singthali and advice the driver that your destination is 3 Kms ahead of the Village Byasi. If you so prefer a pick up from the Haridwar station can be organised on request. Please enquire for the charges.

The Train connections to Haridwar are as follows

1 - The Dehradoon Shatabdi Express - Morning Departure from New Delhi Railway Station at 06.55 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar at 11.30 hrs. Leaves Haridwar Everyday at 18.00 hrs and arrives New Delhi Railway Station at 22.40 hrs. A fast and comfortable Train with two categories of seat pricing.

2 - The Mussorie Express - Night Departure from Old Delhi Railway Station at 22.20 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar at 06.30 hrs next morning. Perfect to spend the night sleeping and travelling to your destination. Leaves Haridwar everyday around 22.30 hrs to arrive at Old Delhi Railway Station at 6.30 hrs the next morning.

3 - The Dehradoon AC Special - Night Departure from Nizammudin Railway Station at 23.30 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar at 04.30 hrs next morning. Leaves Haridwar at 10.00 hrs and reaches Delhi at 14.30 hrs.

4 - The Dehradoon Janshatabdi Express - Leaves New Delhi Railway station at 15.30 hrs and reaches Haridwar at 19.30 hrs. On the way back it leaves Haridwar at 06.30 hrs and reaches Delhi at 11.20 hrs.
